Fed up with creating individual Amazon Associate links for US, UK and Canadian visitors? Or don’t like the idea of using a third party geo redirecting tool to make sure you retain as many affiliate commissions as possible?
Well great news, Amazon have just launched their OneLink service, and it helps with both above mentioned points!
Amazon OneLink (you need to be logged in as an Amazon Associate to see the page) is a feature seemingly released today. What it does is allow you to place one Amazon link on your site, and have the clicker go to the Amazon store in their country, as long as they’re in the USA, UK or Canada.
This is a feature which is long overdue, and will mean you can pick up more commissions if you’ve a worldwide audience.
How To Set Up Amazon OneLink
So how do you set it up? Easy:
- Link your US, UK and Canada Amazon Associates accounts via this page (you need to be logged in).
- … that’s it. 🙂
What I’d Like To See In Future For Amazon Associates OneLink
As I mentioned before, this is a long needed feature. And while I’m happy it’s now here, I have to ask, why only US, UK and Canada? Why not allow us to redirect to other European store (France, Italy etc)? Or Brazil? Or China? Or any other the other stores which allow Associates?
That said it’s a step in the right direction, but due to some affiliates earning in multiple countries, this is probably only worth moving to if the majority of your audience are in Canada, the UK or US.
Hopefully other counties will be added in future.
Amazon OneLink Conclusion
This is a great new feature, and one that I hope will be built on soon. So, what do you this of Amazon OneLink? Will you be using it at all? Let us know in the comments below.
